The Real Deal!

This book goes as deep as any book is ever likely to go into how to defy gravity and perform a human flag. More than that, it offers detailed progressions and suggested programs to get you to your first flag. Literally a roadmap you can trust from a trainer that knows. Get this book!

Super Thorough

I got the book last week and have started my journey. I have a background in weights, more strength focused than bodybuilding. Have started to take pullups and bodyweight exericises more seriously in the last year.

Super Book, Very Throrough

In the last year I have started taking bodyweight exercises more seriously. I have lifted for years with a focus on strength. Mostly the powerlifts. Lifts that you can be flabby and carry a bunch of lard on your body and still do well at. As I have gotten older (North of 50) I started to rethink that. I've slimmed down and put a focus on mastering my body and having a good strength to weight ratio. On to the book. Danny lays things out clearly and I think you can trust the progression as he's put the time in and knows his business. I plan to take up to a year to do it, hope it will be shorter to the goal, but I want to be realistic. If you have any interest in doing the flag, I don't think there is a better resource to get.

Blew Me Away

How to do the Human Flag, Danny Kavadlo's newest book, totally blew me away. I have read all of Danny's other material, so my expectations were high for this one. The book greatly exceeded those lofty expectations! I expected a detailed progression of exercises with general "once you can do this amount of X, go ahead and try Y" guidelines. What I didn't expect was a detailed, set-by-set and rep-by-rep 18 week program to work towards the full expression of the flag. This, alone, is worth well more than the price of admission. However, Danny supports this program with detailed exercise descriptions, fantastic photos (a Kavadlo hallmark), and even a significant amount of hidden progressions and troubleshooting tips. I cannot imagine there is a more detailed guide focused on one exercise in the annals of fitness literature. This book has me pumped to let my freak flag fly! Highly recommended!
